Objective

Accumulate the highest total score by landing your cumulative reel counter on numbers that contain the digit 7. Each time your three-dart throw pushes the shared reel to a total that includes a 7 in any digit position, you bank those points. The ultimate prize is hitting exactly 777 on the reel — the jackpot — for a massive score bonus.

Setup

Sevens Heaven is a DARTSLIVE electronic dartboard game designed for 2–4 players in singles or 3–8 players in doubles format. The game requires an electronic board with a reel/counter display; it cannot be practically replicated on a standard bristle board without significant manual bookkeeping.

The board's display features a slot-machine-style reel counter that tracks the cumulative point total across all players' throws. A separate POOL display tracks unclaimed points. Each player's individual banked score is also shown. Throwing order is determined by the machine or by mutual agreement before the game begins.

Rules of Play

Players take turns throwing three darts per visit. Standard dartboard segment values apply — singles score face value, doubles score 2× face value, triples score 3× face value, outer bull scores 25, and inner bull scores 50. The sum of each player's three darts is added to the shared reel counter, which accumulates across all players' turns throughout the round.

After the reel counter is updated, the game checks whether the new reel total contains the digit 7 in any position (ones, tens, or hundreds). Two outcomes are possible:

  • The reel total contains a 7 (e.g., 70, 127, 273, 377): The throwing player earns points. If there are any points accumulated in the shared POOL, the player also wins all pool points on top of their score for that round.
  • The reel total does not contain a 7 (e.g., 45, 118, 260): The points from that turn go into the shared POOL instead. The player banks nothing, and the pool grows until the next player lands on a 7-containing total.

The 777 Jackpot: If the reel counter lands on exactly 777, the throwing player hits the jackpot and receives a massive score bonus. This is the most celebrated outcome in the game.

Reel Reset: Once the reel counter exceeds 777, the reel resets and the cycle begins again. This means multiple jackpot opportunities arise in a single game, and the POOL mechanic resets alongside the reel for continued play.

Scoring

Standard dartboard point values are used to calculate each three-dart total:

  • Single: 1–20 points (face value)
  • Double: 2–40 points (2× the segment number)
  • Triple: 3–60 points (3× the segment number)
  • Outer bull: 25 points
  • Inner bull: 50 points

Points are not banked simply by throwing high numbers. A player only earns points when their three-dart total pushes the shared reel counter to a number containing the digit 7. For example, if the reel sits at 55 and you throw a total of 15, the reel moves to 70 — the digit 7 appears, so you bank points. However, if the reel sits at 55 and you throw a total of 25, the reel moves to 80 — no 7 is present, so your points go to the shared POOL.

The POOL is a cumulative pot of unclaimed points. Every time a player's turn fails to produce a 7 on the reel, their throw value is added to the pool. The next player whose throw lands the reel on a 7-containing number wins the entire pool in addition to their own round score. This creates dramatic swings — a large pool payout can completely reshape the leaderboard.

Winning

The player (or team, in doubles) with the highest total banked score at the end of the game wins. Because the reel resets each time it exceeds 777, there are multiple cycles — and therefore multiple jackpot opportunities — throughout a single game. This means comebacks are always possible; a player trailing badly can reclaim the lead with a well-timed 7 or a jackpot hit late in the game.

Variations

Sevens Heaven is a proprietary DARTSLIVE party game and is also known by the alternate name 777. No widely recognized external variations have been documented. The game's slot-machine reel mechanic is unique to the DARTSLIVE platform, and rule differences — if any — are limited to machine firmware versions or regional DARTSLIVE settings.

Strategy & Tips

Think about the reel, not just your throw: Unlike most dart games, raw scoring power is secondary. Before each visit, note the current reel total and calculate which three-dart totals would land the reel on a number containing a 7 (e.g., 7, 17, 27, 37, 47, 57, 67, 70–79, 87, and so on). Aim for a segment combination that reaches one of those targets.

Watch the pool grow — then pounce: A large unclaimed pool is the game's biggest swing mechanic. If the pool has been building over several turns, the pressure is on whoever is about to throw. Conversely, if you're that player, stay calm and focus on hitting a reel total with a 7 to claim the entire pot.

Don't give up after falling behind: The reel resets every time it passes 777, creating fresh jackpot opportunities in each cycle. A player who is far behind can stage a dramatic comeback by hitting 777 exactly or by claiming a bloated pool. The game is deliberately designed so that no lead is ever safe.

Manage your totals near 777: As the reel approaches 777, pay close attention. If the reel is at, say, 740, you need exactly 37 to hit the jackpot. Consider which dart combinations yield that specific total — for instance, single 20, single 10, and single 7. Precision trumps power in the jackpot zone.
